Goldfinch First Flight began as a blend of 15, 20 and 22 year old corn and 20 year old rye. We recasked this blend into three cask types - Sauternes, Cognac and New American oak. As roughly two thirds of the liquid was recasked into Sauternes barrels, we named this whisky after the "Golden Wine" that gives the whisky much of its character and marks the newest addition to the High Altitude Collection.
